Formerly the presidential palace of South Vietnam, Reunification Palace is now a museum. It's also the site of the official handover of power during the Fall of Saigon on 30 April 1975.
The War Remnants Museum near the Reunification Palace shows some of the worst brutality from the Vietnam War, and is Ho Chi Minh City's most visited museum. There's also a room dedicated to worldwide protests that went on during the war.
Hai Thanh Aquarium at the Dai Duong resort boasts a large salt-water tank containing 16 non-man-eating sharks, along with 300 other species of fish and sea life. Snorkel with the sharks or simply relax in a sauna, steam bath or Jacuzzi.
