From May 19 to 23, the ISIC global community gathered in Seoul for the highly anticipated ISIC Event 2025, hosted under this year’s powerful theme: Driving ISIC Forward with Digital Innovation. The event brought together ISIC Members, strategic partners, and student representatives from around the world to explore digital transformation, organizational strategy, and the future of student services.
The event officially opened with a warm welcome from Milos Milenkovic, Chair of the ISIC Association Board, who expressed gratitude to ISIC South Korea – KISSES, the Korea Tourism Organization, Hana Bank, and SheerID for their invaluable support.
Event Highlights
Day 1: Governance & Future Tech
The first day featured Subcommittee presentations on projects and activities conducted since the last event, the Annual General Meeting, and a standout session on Digital Transformation in the Education Sector by Professor Summer Hyejin Park from the Seoul School of Integrated Sciences & Technologies (aSSIST). Professor Park explored how blockchain and digital assets are reshaping student identity, credentials, and educational finance.
Day 2: Strategy & Collaboration
Dedicated to strategic dialogue, the second day focused on ISIC’s core values, global value proposition, and governance. These sessions, led by external experts Gazela Pudar Drasko and Jovan Ratkovic, sparked meaningful conversations on ISIC’s future direction.
Day 3: Innovation & Impact
The final day was packed with inspiration and insights:
- Kwangwoon University presented a successful mobile student ID integration case study.
- The Student Panel, moderated by Marcus Ehasoo, gave voice to students’ thoughts on AI, digital ID, and the future of ISIC.
- SheerID offered updates on student verification and global engagement success stories.
- A cutting-edge session on AI in Online Marketing was delivered by Yoel Ko, AI investor and global educator. He provided practical insights into how AI and tools like ChatGPT are transforming digital strategies, with case studies and tactical advice for marketing teams.
- The ISO Office, KISES, GTS Alive, and FESU presented updates on ISIC’s digital infrastructure, including advancements in issuance platforms and global success stories.
Celebrating Impact
The conference concluded with closing remarks from Milos Milenkovic, who emphasized the strength of the ISIC community and its collective commitment to innovation. The event wrapped up with a festive Gala Dinner, where outstanding Member Organizations were recognized for their achievements
