ISIC Association Turns 70!

The ISIC Event 2023, a unique and dynamic annual event for key organizations engaged with the international student community and the ISIC, will be held in Prague, Czech Republic, on November 7-9, 2023. The ISIC Event is the top event for ISIC member organizations and a valuable event for ISIC global partners, endorsement partners, student organizations, and other associations looking to reach and support the international student community.

Throughout the decades, we have actively engaged with many international, European, and national organizations on projects benefiting students, young people, and teachers worldwide. Therefore, a Student panel discussion on the 08th Of November will be dedicated to addressing the needs and expectations of students to facilitate their daily student life.

This year, we are celebrating a significant milestone – the 70th anniversary of the ISIC Association. On this special occasion, our valuable partners, Mrs. Biliana Sirakova, EU Youth Coordinator from the European Commission, as well as Mr. Nick Newland, president of NGO-UNESCO Liaison Committee, will address the audience and open the sessions on Thursday 09th of November.

Representatives of many of our respective partners will hold their presentations on that day, including Mr. Radek Holy from the European Campus Card Association, Henriette Stober from the European University Association, Tanguy Guibert from the European Students’ Union, Adam Shardob from Erasmus Student Network AISBL, Joao Bacelar from European University Foundation, Lorenzo Costantino from IDP European Consultants and Andrea Baldin, EU Project Management Consultant from Fondazione ENDISU.

A special session dedicated to the European Student Card Initiative (ESCI) in the frame of the ESC Academy project will be organized on the third day of the Event, 09 November.

The European Student Card (ESC) panel will open a discussion regarding the progress of ESCI implementation and explore ways to further support this initiative. The panel will feature esteemed speakers such as Mr. Muhammed Ayberk Yavuz from Erasmus Student Network AISBL – Treasurer, Mr. Joao Bacelar, Executive Manager of European University Foundation, Mr. Tanguy Guibert, Vice President of the European Students’ Union, Mr. Manel Sanchez, Director of European Youth Card Association, and Jean-Paul Roumegas, Project Leader at NTT Data. The specific questions and topics for discussion will be shared in the near future.

The 70th-anniversary celebration of ISIC will conclude the event, serving as a celebration of the ISIC platform for collaboration and inspiration. The platform aims to foster greater innovation, improved benefits, and increased engagement in the world of ISIC, where students are at the core.
